The wait is over! The latest batch of celebrities for Dancing with the Stars 2025 has been unveiled, bringing excitement, anticipation, and plenty of sparkle. The announcement was made during last night’s Late Late Show, with Elaine Crowley, Kevin Dundon, Kayleigh Trappe, Rhys McClenaghan, and Yasmin Seky confirmed as the next stars set to take the dancefloor.
These five join a stellar line-up that promises to bring glitz, glamour, and thrilling routines to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player next month. Each celebrity, paired with a professional dancer, will compete for the coveted glitterball trophy in what promises to be a show-stopping season.
Meet the Stars
- Elaine Crowley
TV presenter Elaine Crowley is ready to step out of her comfort zone. Known for her candid approach and warm personality, Elaine has been a household name on Irish television for over two decades. While she’s used to fronting programmes like Ireland AM and Midday, the dancefloor presents a whole new challenge. “My sister said I needed to push myself, so here I am. What’s the worst that can happen?”
- Kevin Dundon
Renowned chef Kevin Dundon is swapping the kitchen for the ballroom. Famous for his culinary expertise and appearances on TV shows like Guerrilla Gourmet, Kevin admits dancing is a whole new ballgame. “I’m treating it like making a risotto – slow and steady with a touch of excitement at the end!” Kevin hopes his wife will finally enjoy dancing with him at weddings.
- Kayleigh Trappe
TikTok star Kayleigh Trappe is bringing her social media charm to the stage. With over 400,000 followers, Kayleigh has won hearts through her comedy sketches. Now, she’s swapping her home studio for sequins and live performances. “This is surreal but so exciting! I can’t wait to embrace the glitz and glamour,” she says.
- Rhys McClenaghan
Olympic gold medallist Rhys McClenaghan is ready to bring his athletic prowess to the dancefloor. The gymnast, celebrated for his mastery of the pommel horse, is looking forward to this new challenge. “I hope to channel some of my gymnastics flair into my routines. It’s a fun way to mix up my training,” says Rhys, as he prepares for the 2025 competition season.
- Yasmin Seky
Actress Yasmin Seky, best known for her role in the RTÉ drama Kin, is excited to step into the spotlight. Yasmin admits she’s nervous but eager to take on this challenge. “In acting, you can redo a scene if it goes wrong. Here, you get one shot, so it’s exhilarating!”
